Texas Republican Representative Brandon Gill expressed that “America would be a much better place” if Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar from Minnesota were sent back to Somalia, as stated in a fundraising email acquired by Axios.

In the email, Gill called on his supporters to sign a petition aimed at deporting Omar, claiming she advised undocumented Somalians in the U.S. on how to “evade” U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
